Arms banned in Karnal

<div class="section1"><div class="Normal">KARNAL: In view of coming Lok Sabha poll Deputy Commissioner R S Doon on Thursday imposed Section 144 banning carrying of arms and weapons of offence throughout the district. <br /><br />The ban will remain enforced till May 25, 2004. Doon also directed political parties to strictly observe code of conduct issued by Election Commission of India.<br /><br />He directed them not to use government property or private property for pasting of posters, banners and putting up flags. Use of loud speakers will be allowed only up to 10 pm with permission of district administration. <br /><br />The DC also asked political parties not to use private property for election purposes without written permission of owner.<br /><br /><formid=367815></formid=367815></div> </div>
